Casten Crosby, 19, begins her soccer shoot-around in the early afternoon at the University of Oregon student recreation fields on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, in between two of her classes during a busy school day.
Crosby eyes the goal as she prepares to take a shot, as she has done countless times throughout the last fourteen years of soccer she has played. Crosby has used soccer as a passion and escape throughout her life.
Crosby practices a throw-in which is common for her position to do, especially last year while playing intramural co-ed soccer with her friends and dorm mates. During high school, Crosby would often be a crutch for her small school team and help on all sides of the ball.
